Product Description
The PCGS Certified 2026 Tudor Beast Royal Dragon 1/4oz Gold Coin contains a quarter of a troy ounce of 999.9 fine gold, carries the Royal Dragon, the ninth release in The Royal Tudor Beasts bullion collection, and has been graded and sealed by PCGS. The PCGS 2026 Tudor Beast Royal Dragon 1/4oz Gold Coin design
David Lawrence’s winged Royal Dragon supports a shield bearing the royal arms of Henry VIII’s reign, the lions of England quartered with the fleurs-de-lis of France, on a surface-animated Tudor background. King Charles III appears on the obverse in Martin Jennings’ portrait.
Two dragons in one collection
The Royal Dragon is a separate beast from the Tudor Dragon issued in 2024. The Tudor Dragon carries a Beaufort badge, while the Royal Dragon holds the king’s own arms. In bullion it is the ninth release, followed by the Seymour Panther.
PCGS grading of the 2026 Tudor Beast Royal Dragon 1/4oz Gold Coin
A certified quarter-ounce Royal Dragon brings a graded fractional set within one coin of completion.
Grading by PCGS means the coin has been examined by an independent third party, confirmed as genuine, given a grade from 1 to 70 on the Sheldon scale and sealed in a tamper-evident holder. The printed label records the issue and the grade, and its certification number can be looked up on the PCGS website at any time.
The grade of the coin supplied is the one stated on its PCGS label. Images are for illustration and grades may vary, so please contact our team if you would like a specific grade.

Why buy a PCGS 2026 Tudor Beast Royal Dragon 1/4oz Gold Coin?
It adds one of the closing designs of the collection to a graded quarter-ounce set, at a fraction of the outlay of the 1oz coin.
It holds 7.78g of fine gold and keeps the tax advantages of UK legal tender gold.
Why buy 1/4oz gold coins?
Quarter-ounce coins are a middle step for buyers who want more than a tenth of an ounce per coin without committing to a full ounce. They make regular purchases more manageable and give you finer control when selling, since you can release a small part of a holding. The trade-off is a higher premium per gram than larger coins, so they suit flexibility more than bulk buying.
Frequently asked questions
