2026 Tudor Beast Seymour Panther 1oz Gold Coin
Product Description
The 2026 Tudor Beast Seymour Panther 1oz Gold Coin is the tenth and final release in The Royal Tudor Beasts bullion collection, struck in one troy ounce of 999.9 fine gold with King Charles III on the obverse. As UK legal tender with a £100 face value, it is exempt from Capital Gains Tax for UK residents and VAT-exempt as investment gold.
The 2026 Tudor Beast Seymour Panther 1oz Gold Coin design
Ten heraldic beasts line the Moat Bridge at Hampton Court Palace, five representing the ancestry of Henry VIII and five that of Jane Seymour. The Royal Mint’s Royal Tudor Beasts bullion collection, designed by David Lawrence, gives each of them a coin.
Lawrence’s panther holds its shield against a Tudor-inspired background with surface animation, framed by the inscriptions for weight and fineness.
The beast that opened and closed the collection
The Seymour Panther was the design the Royal Mint chose to launch the Royal Tudor Beasts collection in 2022, and its 2026 bullion coin is the tenth and final release of the bullion series. It is one of Jane Seymour’s beasts, shown with flames issuing from its mouth and ears, the incensed panther of Seymour heraldry.

Why buy a 2026 Tudor Beast Seymour Panther 1oz Gold Coin?
As the final bullion release, the Seymour Panther completes a ten-coin set for anyone who has collected the series since 2022.
For investors it is simply a full ounce of 24-carat gold that is CGT-exempt for UK residents and VAT-exempt.
Why buy 1oz gold coins?
The one-ounce coin is the standard unit of the gold market. Because gold is priced per troy ounce, a 1oz coin’s metal value is simple to follow, and the larger size usually carries a lower premium per gram than fractional coins. Compared with a large bar, a holding of 1oz coins can still be sold a coin at a time, so you keep flexibility without paying fractional-coin premiums.
Frequently asked questions
Is the Seymour Panther the last Tudor Beasts bullion coin?
Yes. It is the tenth and final bullion release. The Royal Dragon completes the commemorative and proof collections, which ran in a slightly different order.
Why was the Seymour Panther issued at the end?
It was the beast used to introduce the collection in 2022, and the bullion series closes with it in 2026.
