2027 Britannia KCIII 1oz Gold Coins – Tube (10 Coins)
Product Description
The 2027 Britannia KCIII 1oz Gold Coins – Tube (10 Coins) is a Royal Mint tube of ten one-ounce coins in 999.9 fine gold, each with King Charles III on the obverse. Together they hold ten troy ounces of gold in UK legal tender coins, exempt from Capital Gains Tax for UK residents and VAT-exempt as investment gold.
The 2027 1oz Gold Britannia Tube design
Each of the ten coins shows Philip Nathan’s Britannia, first used on the Royal Mint’s gold bullion in 1987, with the four security features that have protected it since 2021.
The obverse shows King Charles III by Martin Jennings, the portrait that first appeared on bullion when the Royal Mint placed it on the 2023 Britannia, the first bullion coin in the world to carry the King’s official coin portrait. Every coin in the tube is dated 2027.
Security features on each 2027 Gold Britannia
- A latent trident-to-padlock image, a nod to Britannia’s naval history and to the coin’s security.
- Surface animation that brings the sea behind Britannia to life.
- The micro-text DECUS ET TUTAMEN, the same Latin motto once lettered on the edges of British coins, meaning ‘an ornament and a safeguard’.
- Tincture lines, the heraldic shading that highlights the Union flag on the shield.

Why buy a 2027 1oz Gold Britannia Tube?
A tube of 2027 Britannias lets you add ten ounces of gold in one purchase, usually at a lower premium per coin than singles, while keeping the flexibility of individual coins.
The Royal Mint tube keeps the coins together and protected, which makes storage simple and keeps the set uniform.
Why buy 1oz gold coins?
The one-ounce coin is the standard unit of the gold market. Because gold is priced per troy ounce, a 1oz coin’s metal value is simple to follow, and the larger size usually carries a lower premium per gram than fractional coins. Compared with a large bar, a holding of 1oz coins can still be sold a coin at a time, so you keep flexibility without paying fractional-coin premiums.
Frequently asked questions
Are the coins in the tube the same as single 2027 Britannias?
Yes. They are identical 2027 one-ounce gold Britannias, supplied together in a tube rather than individually.
Why buy a tube instead of ten single coins?
A tube usually carries a lower premium per coin and keeps ten matching coins protected in one container.
