PCGS Certified 2024 Royal Arms 1oz Gold Coin
Product Description
The PCGS Certified 2024 Royal Arms 1oz Gold Coin contains one troy ounce of 999.9 fine gold, features King Charles III on the obverse and has been graded and sealed by PCGS. As UK legal tender with a £100 face value, it is exempt from Capital Gains Tax for UK residents and VAT-exempt as investment gold.
The PCGS 2024 Royal Arms 1oz Gold Coin design
Timothy Noad’s Royal Arms, in its sixth year on bullion, shows the crowned shield of England, Scotland and Ireland held by the lion and the unicorn, on a background of fine radial lines.
Martin Jennings’ portrait of King Charles III appears on the obverse with the King’s titles and the £100 face value.
The radial-lined background
Behind the Arms, fine radial lines spread out from the centre of the reverse. The Royal Mint added this background texture as a security feature: the lines are difficult to reproduce accurately and catch the light as the coin moves.
PCGS grading of the 2024 Royal Arms 1oz Gold Coin
A graded 2024 coin continues a certified Royal Arms run after the 2023 first King Charles III date.
PCGS (Professional Coin Grading Service) is an independent grading company that authenticates coins, grades them on the 70-point Sheldon scale and seals them in a tamper-evident holder. Bullion coins are graded in Mint State (MS), and the label shows the coin’s date, denomination, grade and a unique certification number that can be checked on the PCGS website.
Grades vary between individual coins. You will receive the coin at the grade printed on its label, and product photographs are illustrative rather than of the exact coin. Contact our team if you need a particular grade.

Why buy a PCGS 2024 Royal Arms 1oz Gold Coin?
The PCGS 2024 Royal Arms suits collectors building a graded date run of the series, and buyers who want CGT-exempt gold with an independent guarantee of authenticity.
The sealed holder protects the design’s fine heraldic detail for the long term.
Why buy 1oz gold coins?
The one-ounce coin is the standard unit of the gold market. Because gold is priced per troy ounce, a 1oz coin’s metal value is simple to follow, and the larger size usually carries a lower premium per gram than fractional coins. Compared with a large bar, a holding of 1oz coins can still be sold a coin at a time, so you keep flexibility without paying fractional-coin premiums.
Frequently asked questions
Which year of the Royal Arms series is 2024?

Can I request a particular grade?
